When you choose Johanna you get a speaker who, with warmth, presence and deep knowledge, opens up new perspectives on stress, recovery and sustainable health.
She is a licensed psychologist, a neuroscience-based mental trainer and a Sensing Yoga instructor with a doctorate in medicine — and has her own experience of long-term sick leave with severe exhaustion. That gives her a deep understanding of what it actually takes to build a working life, and a life, that lasts.
Johanna ties research together with practical tools and insight grounded in experience. She shows how small pauses, self-kindness and attentiveness to the body's signals can create real change. The aim is for participants to leave with both new perspectives and usable strategies to take straight into everyday life — for more recovery, more strength and more joy.
Johanna's lecture and workshop can be adapted into training and course formats.

Learn to PAUSE is a psychologist-led, research-based lecture on mental training and stress management — focusing on how we build a life with more strength, calm and joy. It is personal in tone, concrete, and easy to put into practice straight away in a hectic everyday life.
In this lecture participants learn how small, self-kind micro-pauses can make a great difference to focus, recovery and enjoyment at work — and how we can build new pathways in the brain that support sustainability over the long term.
Theory alternates with practice, where participants try out for themselves how short, simple movements and breathing exercises can be used to regulate the nervous system — for sharper focus, more energy, more creativity, or calm.
Johanna guides participants to understand why pauses are decisive — and how to pause in a self-kind, life-affirming way, without it becoming yet another obligation.
The lecture gives tools and perspectives that last, whether you are facing stress, change or a heavy workload — or simply want to find a more sustainable way of working and living.
What you take away
Stress, the nervous system and neuroplasticity — understanding the basis
Pauses, movement and breathing as restoratives
Habits that last — small steps, big difference
Self-kindness as a counterweight to pressure — setting goals from the heart
Suitable for: HR teams and organisations that want to offer something warm and human, grounded in research, with practical tools employees can use straight away and benefit from for a long time.
Drawing on psychological knowledge and her own experience, Johanna shares what the road back from stress and exhaustion can look like. By understanding and working with the nervous system, we can create the conditions for healing, renewal, appetite for life and a deeper presence in everyday life.
Participants gain both theoretical knowledge and a practical understanding of how short, simple movements can be used to balance the nervous system, reduce stress and create a deeper sense of calm.
The workshop closes with 30 minutes of Sensing Yoga — natural movements on the body's own terms, which help to balance the nervous system.
The purpose is to create hope, understanding and practical tools for recovery — and to show that stress and exhaustion can become the starting point for a new, more alive way of living and working.
What you take away
What a dysregulated nervous system is — and how it affects us
Baseline — finding your own sustainable level of activity
The body's wisdom: micro-pauses and signals as guides
Heart, body and brain working together — the route to energy that lasts
30 minutes of Sensing Yoga: grounding movement, breathing and presence
Why do you lecture on stress, pauses and recovery?
I have my own experience of long-term sick leave with severe exhaustion. It gave me an understanding of what it actually takes to build a working life, and a life, that lasts. As a speaker I want to share my knowledge and the tools that worked for me — to help others feel better and live sustainably, in contact with themselves.
