Healthier workplaces in manufacturing

How manufacturers work systematically with health and the work environment in the Health Portal – from the production floor to the office.

The industry's challenges

Common challenges in the four areas

Health at work is shaped in four areas. The list is a starting point for your own assessment – your own judgement decides what matters most.

Physical work environment
  • Repetitive work and physical strain
  • Machinery, noise and chemicals
  • Shift work
Psychosocial work environment
  • Production pace and time pressure
  • Change driven by automation
  • Different conditions for production and office staff
Personal health resources
  • Shift work, sleep and recovery
  • Wellness that fits the rota
  • Food and breaks
Engagement in the community
  • Skills supply
  • Safety for contractors and visitors
  • Being the local employer

Focus areas to start with

  1. SAM in everyday work

The risks in production require safety to be part of every day.

  2. Participation

The people on the line know where the risks and the improvements are.

  3. Early intervention

Pick up strain-related problems early and adjust the work.

More than a system

You are not just buying a new system – you get help to make the change succeed

A system changes nothing on its own. That is why you get three things on top of the Health Portal, with trained process leads and occupational health scientists at your side.
