The purpose of the course

To give participants the practical ability and confidence to act early when an employee is struggling mentally — and to tie that to the employer's rehabilitation duty and the preventive psychosocial work required under the Swedish regulation AFS 2023:2.

How the course is structured

A full-day course with knowledge blocks, role-play and conversation practice. The content covers how to recognise warning signs, how to hold a supportive conversation, when and how to bring in occupational health or other resources, and the employer's responsibility for mental ill health in the workplace.

We are happy to run the course on site with you, with group exercises and interactive discussion grounded in your own organisation. It works just as well online. All our courses can be combined and adapted to your wishes and needs.

Who it is for

Managers and safety representatives in the private sector whose role may bring them into contact with employees in mental ill health, in crisis, or at heightened risk of self-harm. Particularly relevant in sectors with high workload, shift work or customer-facing roles.

The trainer

Marie

Speaker | HR specialist | Rehabilitation consultant

Marie has over 15 years of experience in HR, work environment and suicide prevention, with a background as an HR specialist, rehabilitation consultant and speaker. Having lost family members to suicide herself, her life's mission is to build knowledge about mental health and save lives.
