The menopause, women's health and an inclusive work environment

Make the menopause a work environment question rather than a private one — with concrete adjustments.

The purpose of the course

To give participants knowledge of how hormonal change affects capacity for work, health and wellbeing — and to make the menopause a work environment question that can be handled with adjustments, rather than a private matter each person carries alone. More than a million women in Sweden are in the middle of the menopause, many of them in the middle of their careers.

What you can expect

  • Knowledge of the concepts, the symptoms and how they affect capacity for work
  • An understanding of which life factors affect how people feel
  • Concrete adjustments to offer in the workplace
  • A climate where the subject can be raised without becoming private

How the course is structured

A half-day or full-day course covering the concepts and symptoms, the life factors that affect how people feel, how working life is affected and which adjustments are possible. The content is interwoven with conversation about how a workplace creates a climate where the subject can be raised, and is tied to the employer's responsibility for work adjustment and an inclusive work environment.

We are happy to run the course on site with you, with group exercises and interactive discussion grounded in your own organisation. It works just as well online. All our courses can be combined and adapted to your wishes and needs.

Who it is for

Managers with staff responsibility, HR and safety representatives who want to meet questions about the menopause and women's health knowledgeably and inclusively. No prior knowledge is needed, and it is open to everyone whatever their gender — the point being that this concerns the whole workplace.
