Ergonomics — prevent strain problems in the workplace

Practical workplace ergonomics — from working posture to changing behaviour.

Length
Half day or full day
Format
On site or online
Trainer
Rebecka

The purpose of the course

To give participants knowledge of how strain arises at work and practical tools for preventing problems in the neck, shoulders and back — and thereby reducing sickness absence linked to strain injuries. The course supports the employer's duty to investigate and rectify ergonomic risks.

What you can expect

  • An understanding of how strain problems arise and how they are prevented
  • Practical tools for working postures and workstation design
  • Knowledge of vision and lighting ergonomics
  • Methods for building movement and recovery into the working day

How the course is structured

A half-day or full-day course alternating theory on anatomy, strain and recovery with practical exercises and a review of the participants' own workstations. The content covers working postures, workstation design, vision and lighting ergonomics, and how movement and habits are built into the working day.

We are happy to run the course on site with you, with group exercises and interactive discussion grounded in your own organisation. It works just as well online. All our courses can be combined and adapted to your wishes and needs.

Who it is for

Managers with staff responsibility, HR and safety representatives responsible for the physical work environment. It suits both office settings and work that is physically demanding, and is well worth taking jointly by manager and safety representative.

  • Strain ergonomics
  • Physical strain factors
  • Advanced course for manager + safety representative
  • Systematic work environment management
